FEAST YOUR EYES ON REPUBLIC POLYTECHNIC’S OPEN-HOUSE 2018

The time has yet again come for secondary school graduates to decide which polytechnic they want to enroll in. Republic Polytechnic is one out of five polytechnic schools that showcased a rather interesting and interactive Open-House this year.
The students and lecturers here at Republic Polytechnic’s Open-House are ready to answer some of the frequently asked questions by secondary school graduates.
Out of the many booths here in Republic Polytechnic’s Open-House 2018, the Mass Communication booth stood out. They provided hands-on experiences and engages interested audiences in real-world contexts where they get to experience first-hand what it is like to be in Mass Communication.
“I very much enjoyed myself and gained more knowledge on the Mass Communication course which I’m keen to study!” said my 17-year-old, Jaylyn Heng when she was interviewed. She also stated that overall her trip down to Republic Polytechnic’s Open-House 2018 was a beneficial and memorable one. Jaylyn was also accompanied by her mother, Shelley Chiang who is in her mid-forties. She said, “It was a successful Open-House which has a range of different courses catered to every individual’s interest, it helps them to have a better understanding of what they are really keen on studying as well as their choice of career.”
Another 17-year-old secondary graduate, Charis Ng also attended Republic Polytechnic’s Open-House and commented that it was an eye-opening experience and she would recommend her fellow schoolmates to attend Republic Polytechnic’s Open House.
All in all, Republic Polytechnic’s Open-House 2018 which was on the 4th to the 6th of January was fruitful and futile. It has provided the public with insights into how a polytechnic student’s life will be as the new batch of students start a new chapter furthering their education in Singapore.
