Food review on ARTEA, which opened its 1st outlet here in Singapore, at Vivo City!

ARTEA has just opened its 1st outlet right here in Singapore and it is located at Vivo City! ARTEA is originally from Taiwan and they specialize in their soufflé pancakes and specialty drinks.
Right after its opening, there was already a buzz about it. Local food bloggers and media outlets such as Daniel Food Diary, Eatbook.sg, and Mothership were already providing their opinions and thoughts about ARTEA’s food products.
When I was there, the queue was as long as a snake and I had to wait around 20 minutes before it was my turn to place my orders at the counter.
Before finalizing my order, the cashier told me that I would have to wait for an hour for the soufflé pancake to be ready, to which I agreed reluctantly.
As I walked around the mall for about an hour, I returned back to ARTEA and searched for an empty seat for me and my friend.
Soon enough, my receipt number was flashed on the LED screen and I collected my food.
Oh my. The soufflé pancake looked very promising and it was aesthetically pleasing. It was jiggling as I carry it back to the table.
I ordered the Mango Soufflé Pancake [$8.50] and it came with a half a mango cut out in cubes for easy consumption, accompanied with mango syrup and a salted and creamy sauce that goes well with the soufflé pancake.
My first bite was so soft that it immediately melted in my mouth as soon as I put it in. All the ingredients used complements each other so well without missing any elements. The sliced mango was really sweet, and it provides a different kind of texture when eaten together with the soufflé pancake.
Moving on to the drink that I ordered, it was their Signature Fruit Tea [Regular size, $8.20]. It was quite refreshing and the flavors just explode in your mouth.
There were slices of watermelon, orange, lime, and passionfruit [and seeds] in the drink and it comes with a plastic fork for you to scoop out the fruit slices and consume.
It was average to me, nothing as fascinating as I thought it would be. I would say I was quite disappointed because it is their Top 1 selling drink amongst customers.
Overall, the ambiance over at ARTEA is not that bad and it is aesthetically-pleasing especially if you want to take a few shots for the gram.
Would I go back again? I wouldn’t say that I would because I personally feel that their food products are slightly overpriced and it was lackluster. I would say there are better alternatives out there when it comes to soufflé pancakes and refreshing fruit teas at a cheaper price.
But the experience was really one-of-a-kind, so it certainly does not hurt to visit ARTEA at least once if you’re around the area! ARTEA operates from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily and it is located in Vivo City, #01-100.
